This week, Petnetpro announced a landmark community initiative that channels a portion of its trading revenue directly into environmental restoration. The exchange will allocate 5% of all trading fees to a dedicated fund supporting coastal cleanup projects in Southeast Asia, starting with a pilot program in the Philippines.

A Transparent Funding Model

Unlike traditional corporate donations, Petnetpro's model ensures transparency through on-chain accounting. Users can track contributions in real time via a public dashboard. The exchange has partnered with Global Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit specializing in mangrove reforestation and plastic waste removal.

  • Direct impact: Every trade on Petnetpro now contributes to removing plastic from oceans.
  • Community voting: Quarterly polls will let users decide which specific cleanup projects receive the next tranche of funds.

Petnetpro CEO Min-ji Kim stated: "We wanted our growth to directly benefit the planet. This initiative turns every transaction into a positive action." The first funded cleanup is scheduled for June 2025 in the Visayas region.
